Giving Farmers Basic Food at Bhayangkara Anniversary, Police Encourage Residents to Face the Pandemic

Tribratanews.polri.go.id. - Sumedang. The National Police celebrated the 75th anniversary of Bhayangkara by providing basic necessities to farmers in Sumedang, West Java. The National Police also asked residents to remain enthusiastic in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Karomonev Srena National Police, Pol. Brigadier General Taufik Pribadi, said the Police wanted to take advantage of the Bhayangkara Anniversary momentum by sharing love with the residents. He also asked the public to remain enthusiastic about the pandemic.

“The value may not be much, but the point is we want to give encouragement. To keep working hard, to keep working even in the current COVID-19 pandemic situation," said Chairman of Monitoring and Evaluation Bureau, North Sumedang, Sumedang Regency.

In addition, Chairman of Monitoring and Evaluation Bureau also asked the public to remind each other about the discipline of health protocols. Then, he also advised the public not to be easily influenced by false information about vaccinations being rolled out by the government.

"Don't hesitate, don't be afraid ladies and gentlemen, because there are a lot of fake news out there which sometimes makes us confused, we panic. So it is our duty, the elders, community leaders, to appeal," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Jati Mulya Village, Entis Sutisna, said he was grateful for the assistance provided by the Police. Entis then prayed that the Police would become a better institution in the future.

"We wish you from the residents of Jati Mulya Village, happy 75th birthday Bhayangkara. Hopefully Bhayangkara will remain victorious, united with the community," said Entis.

The residents who received the basic food packages were farmers and laborers in Sumedang. A total of 2,000 food packages were given to residents.

For information, the commemoration of the 75th Bhayangkara Day carries the theme 'Precise Police Transformation supports the acceleration of handling COVID-19 for healthy communities and national economic recovery towards advanced Indonesia'. This activity will be carried out from today until September 9, 2021.
