More than 200 people died and hundreds more of the injured from the earthquake that hits Cianjur, East java. The earthquake also forced them to leave their home after it got destroyed in seconds. Many now lived in a rescue posts built by the government and volunteers.
Seeing what had happened in Cianjur, we cannot sit idly watching the people of Cianjur suffers alone. They need our help. And in response to their cries, the government had moved immediately to provide their needs.
They helped searched the missing, reopen the road access that got blocked by landslides, and built public kitchen for the refugees. The speed of response becomes the key in handling natural disaster.
The government kept coordinating with related parties and jointly with the community and local government, help the people affected by the earthquake. Right now, they truly need the hands of people from around Indonesia to lift them up again. The government have started their move, paved the way, so that more aids would come to Cianjur.
As fellow Indonesians, we should always help those in need, especially those who got hit by a natural disaster at this level. Our help could shed a light of hope amid their darkest times.
