Chief of Banten Regional Police, Police Inspector General Rudy Heryanto Adi Nugroho, said that Police closed the border of the areas under his jurisdiction during Emergency PPKM (Public Activity Limitation Enforcement), starting Saturday (03/07/2021) at 00.00 local times.
"Starts tonight on 00.00, all borders under the jurisdiction of Banten Regional Police would be closed and tightened to limits public mobility. Borders between regencies and cities would also be tightened", Chief of Regional Police said.
He also appeals to the public that, during Emergency PPKM, they should conduct their daily activities at home and not go out if there are no important necessities.
"No one doing mobilities outside except for essential and critical activities", Chief of Regional Police said.
Based on information from Banten Regional Police, in his region, only Serang city that categorised as Level 4 on the Emergency PPKM.
The areas of Level 3 are Serang and Lebak regency and Cilegon city. The area of Level 2 is Pandenglang regency. Meanwhile, South Tangerang and Tangerang cities are under the jurisdiction of the Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police.
