East Java Regional Police, Regional Leader Communication Forum (Forkopimda), Military Area Command V Brawijaya, Navy Fleet Command II and East Java Regional Police synergize with the support of East Java Government carry out insulation operations at 7 (seven) points of inter provinces and 85 inter districts.
To increase public compliance regarding the implementation of Emergency PPKM, East Java Regional Police has strengthened it with joint Justice Operation consisting of Indonesia National Armed Forces, Indonesia National Police and Municipality Police.
Target of justice operation are 3, consisting of community activities, people and places. From these three targets, several violations found. The joint team carried out trial at the place destined by High Court and the ranks both on-site and online hearings.
"While violations found during justice operation are, crowding, not wearing masks, violating the rules related to restrictions on activities at certain hours," Chief of East Java Regional Police, Police Inspector General Nico Afinta said, Friday (07/09/2021) afternoon.
From the justice operation activity, joint officers arrested 23 thousand people in 18 regencies/cities, carried out on last Thursday. The fine is 25-50 thousand. Police also punished them with physical punishment such as push ups and social punishment such as helping to clean public facility.
“The objective of justice operation is to raise community awareness. Ask society to obey the rules,” Chief of East Java Regional Police said.
Meanwhile, Commander-in-Chief of V Brawijaya Military Area Command, Major General Suharyanto said during Emergency PPKM, Indonesia National Armed Forces, Navy, Air Force deploy 2,014 personnels throughout East Java.
"1,300 for 26 regencies/cities that enter level 3, while 954 people for 12 regencies/cities that enter level 4, they strengthen 4 pillars of Emergency PPKM, that are Head of Village, Village Midwives, Babinsa (NCO Law Enforcement) and Babinkantibmas (Community Police Officer)," Commander-in-Chief of V Brawijaya Military Area Command explained.
These troops come from combat units, combat aid units, commander of the fleet II and from Surabaya Air Force Base. Their task is to ensure mobility in the village is reduced, ensuring the implementation of 5M (wearing mask, social distancing, washing hands, reducing mobility, avoiding crowds) and carry out testing for community in the village.
"If there is a positive case, it will continue with tracing to at least 15 people in close contact. And treatment for villagers who have mild symptomps and self-isolated, they will be monitored by officers on duty in the village, " ommander-in-Chief of V Brawijaya Military Area Command said.
If there are symptoms, they are immediately referred to referral hospital. If this mechanism works well, it is expected in 2 weeks, Emergency PPKM shows good result.
“The benchmark is number of people who are self-isolating is reduced, those who are treated in hospitals are reduced and those who die are reduced. What is needed is the participation of community in complying with the health protocols," he said.
For people who carry out self-isolation and logistics, Military Area Command is collaborating with East Java Regional Police and East Java Government distribute aids to people who are self-isolating.
