Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Surabaya. East Java Regional Police are creating public service innovation in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic by launching 29 Door-to-door Presisi Vaccination Ambulance units. The special ambulances are tasked to serve Covid-19 vaccination by door-to-door method across East Java regions.

The launching event was conducted by East Java Regional Leaders Communication Forum in the East Java Regional Police Headquarter and attended by the Daily Executor of East Java Regional Secretary, Heru Tjahjono, as the representatives of East Java Governor, Chief of East Java Regional Police, Police Inspector General Nico Afinta, and Commander of 5th/Brawijaya Military Region, Armed Forces Major General Suharyanto.

Chief of East Java Regional Police explained the launching of Door-to-door Presisi Vaccination Ambulances is a form of Bhayangkara Health Service for the Nation by East Java Regional Police.

Police Inspector General Nico Afinta said that in mitigation measures of Covid-19, there are three things conducted by the government with Armed Forces and Police. First is the implementation of Emergency PPKM (Public Activity Restriction Enforcement). The second is the commencement of Justice Operation. The third one is the vaccination programme.

"This programme is named door-to-door vaccination conducted by the Three Pillars (provincial government, Armed Forces, and Police). There are 29 ambulances with four health workers in each vehicle", the two-star general said.

The target of the door-to-door vaccination is the unvaccinated people, mainly from remote areas. The mechanism is that the team will look for the unvaccinated communities or families.

The programme, he said, would go on until they run out of vaccine stock. In the meantime, every ambulance is targeted to inject 50-100 people daily.
