East Java Regional Police Establishes Emergency PPKM Law Enforcement Task Force

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Surabaya. East Java Regional Police establishes Law Enforcement Task Force in Aman Nusa 2 Operation on the fourth day of Emergency PPKM (Public Activity Restriction Enforcement).

Chief of PR and Press Division of East Java Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Gatot Repli Handoko, said that the task force consists of personnel from Directorate of General Criminal Investigation, Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation, and Directorate of Drugs Criminal Investigation.

"Their tasks are on observing or inspecting the alleged illegal entry permits", Police Grand Commissioner Gatot Repli Handoko said at the Surabaya-bound of Waru Roundabout, Tuesday (6/7/2021).

Chief of PR and Press Division said that vehicles from out of town would be randomly checked on several checkpoints. For drivers of vehicles with police numbers outside of Surabaya and its surrounding (besides vehicles with L and W code) that unable to issue Covid-19 free statements would be asked to turn back.

"We have not found the illegal Covid-19 free statement yet. All personnel of Law Enforcement Task Force of Regional and Department Police that involved in this Aman Nusa 2 (Operation) still conducting their tasks", Chief of PR and Press said.

Alumni of the Class of 1992 of the Police Academy said that East Java Regional Police and their personnel are keeping an eye on the information of decreasing oxygen supply in the middle of rising Covid-19 cases.

"Departmental Police officers are checking the oxygen distribution. If we found any misappropriation, we will take stern measures", Chief of PR and Press said.


The three-jasmine Middle Officer stated that he had received investigation results from the Departmental Police offices. Besides, he also has received reports from the East Java Regional Branch of Indonesian Hospital Associations.

"Until now, it is still enough, but we do not know what will happen in the future. We will keep an eye on it", Chief of PR and Press concluded.
