East Java Police Deploys 20 thousand personnel at the Border Point during the implementation of Emergency Restrictions Imposed on Public Activities

The East Java Regional Police have alerted as many as 20,000 personnel at a number of local provincial border points with Central Java and Bali through Operation Amanusa II for COVID-19 Handling in 2021 which was held during the Emergency Restrictions Imposed on Public Activities (PPKM).

The 20 thousand personnel will be placed at eight checkpoints between provinces, namely at seven points at the entrance to the border with Central Java, and one point at the Bali border, explained the East Java Police Chief, Pol. Inspector-General Nico Afinta, Saturday, (07/03/21)

Pol. Inspector-General Nico Afinta revealed that since Friday night (07/02/21) at 00.00 AM, he has carried out insulation in various places and borders entering the East Java region.

The East Java Regional Police carry out control and restriction of community mobility. Mobility control is controlling the movement of people using transportation devices that cross the provincial, district and district borders, said the East Java Regional Police Chief.

The two-star general said that it is limiting the mobility of people and means of transportation in an area in the form of activities.

The police, together with the National Armed Forces and local government, will carry out traffic engineering, road closures or diversions.

Then carry out patrols in places that are used as mass concentrations, such as tourist attractions, or other public places.

"We also carry out socialization and enforce health protocols. The key to implementing these Emergency Restrictions Imposed on Public Activities are synergy, cooperation, compactness, and thoroughness from upstream to downstream," concluded the Indonesian Military Academy Graduate in 1992.
