Tribratanews.polri.go.id- Bandar Lampung. Lampung Regional Police confiscated 183 homemade firearms. They were obtained from confiscation carried out in April 2021.
"The evidence confiscated in April 2021 from Mesuji Regency and its surroundings have been destroyed," Chief of Lampung Regional Police, Police Inspector General Hendro Sugiatno said in Bandar Lampung, Monday (06/28).
In addition, Chief of Lampung Regional Police said Lampung Regional Police had also arrested owner of the workshop that manufactures homemade firearms and confiscated evidence of two homemade firearms. His team will also take action against criminals, theft with violent (curas), weight theft (curat), and motor vehicle theft (curanmor).
"This is priority, including cracking down on thuggery, we have secured 140 thugs in the jurisdiction of Lampung Regional Police," the former Assistant to Chief of Indonesia National Police for General Planning and Budgeting (Asrena Kapolri) said.
Chief of Lampung Regional Police also emphasized the "C3" (curas, curat, curanmor) case and thuggery is Lampung Regional Police’s priority, considering that the victims of these perpetrators are low-income people.
"We are very empathetic towards the victims of robbery and thuggery, which are generally low-income people," he said.
Chief of Lampung Regional Police also expressed his gratitude to the people of Lampung for helping Police in uncovering cases of "C3" and thuggery. It is hoped Lampung can be a conducive area as expected by the people.
"People who want to take their [stolen] vehicle are welcome to come to Lampung Regional Police Headquarter with proof of ownership (STNK, BPKB) and an official identity," Chief of Lampung Regional Police said.
