"From the activities we carried out during the Christmas holidays, there was only one contraflow on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road. The traffic jam started when there was an accident on the Elevated (MBZ elevated toll road) which resulted in a delay, so it had to be closed, "explained Aan when explaining the operations to the entourage of the Minister of Transportation at the Cikopo security post. Friday (12/30).
Brigadier General Aan added that after the Christmas holidays, so far there has been no traffic engineering implementations. This means that toll and arterial traffic flows are still smooth. Meanwhile for tourist attractions such as Bogor or Puncak, coordination has been carried out with Jasa Marga to prepare traffic engineering by reversing the opening from above, which was originally KM 17 to KM 26.
"Initially we prepared our security operations from Ciawi, but the situation did not allow for contraflow from Ciawi. So, we made agreement with Jasa Marga, on the 1st January, there will be a contraflow from KM 26, hopefully this can unravel the traffic flow from above according to the scheme carried out for the new year holiday," said Aan quoted on the ntmcpolri page.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi, said that the security post in Cikopo is very important and because of the traffic that it gets more attention.
