Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Director of Traffic Security of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Police Grand Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo explained that on the first day of mobility control with an odd-even system, it would be held on August 12 - August 18, 2021.

People who are active with four-wheeled vehicles are starting to follow the odd-even policy that is applied.

Police Grand Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo said that so far, there have only been four-wheeled vehicles with even number plates according to the date that has passed at eight designated road points.

"Alhamdulillah, almost 98 per cent of all those who pass by even plated vehicles", explained Police Grand Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, Thursday (12/08/21).

Directorate of Traffic Security of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police explained that on the first day of the odd-even implementation, his party had not applied special sanctions for vehicles that did not match the crossing date at the 8 points.

"If there is a vehicle whose license plate does not match the date because today is the 12th and it is even, we will only temporarily turn around. So we cannot enter these areas," said the Middle Officer of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police.

Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police stopped the regulation of blocking at 100 points and replaced it with three mobility control schemes during the extension of Micro Restriction (PPKM) level 4 until August 16, 2021 later.

Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police deactivated 100 blocking points in Jakarta Depok Tangerang and Bekasi (Jadetabek) during the extension of Micro Restriction (PPKM) Level 4. Instead, the odd-even system policy will be applied.
