Commander of Indonesia National Armed Forces, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, together with Chief of Indonesia National Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, visited Emergency PPKM (Community Activity Restriction) Command Post in Saworatap Village, Gedangan, Sidoarjo, Friday (07/09/2021).
During the working visit to East Java, the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces and Chief of Indonesia National Police Chief monitored vaccinations at Grand City Mall Surabaya before going to Sidoarjo. The two leaders hope through simultaneous and more massive vaccination activity; herd immunity will soon be established.
Efforts to accelerate vaccination for the community were also mentioned by the Commander of Indonesian National Armed Forces and Chief of Indonesia National Police Chief in front of residents of Saworatap Village, Gedangan, Sidoarjo and the Regional Leader Communication Forum (Forkopimda) of East Java Province, and Forkopimda of Sidoarjo Regency. In addition to vaccination, the two leaders also re-socialized to the public about the importance of the Emergency Community Activity Restriction (PPKM) policy in Java-Bali.
In his remarks, the Commander of Indonesia National Armed Forces said that Emergency PPKM is an effort to break the chain of Covid-19 spread. The core and purpose of the policy is the safety of all Indonesian people. "So there need to be big steps. One of them is we carry out emergency PPKM. There are three important things in its implementation, that are regulating community mobility restrictions, strengthening Micro PPKM activities and vaccinations.”
