Commander of Indonesia National Armed Forces and Chief of Indonesia National Police Encouraged Semarang Residents who are in Self-Isolation

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Commander of Indonesia National Armed Forces, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto and Chief of Indonesia National Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo encourage residents who were undergoing self-isolation due to exposure to coronavirus.
Commander of Indonesia National Armed Forces and Chief of Indonesia National Police held virtual interaction with self-isolation patients while reviewing Micro PPKM Command Post in Tembalang District, Semarang, Central Java, Friday (07/16/2021).
In the interaction, Sigit asked one of the residents named Tri. He asked whether during the isolation he had received medication or not.
"Have you get the medicine package already?" Sigit asked.
"Yes, Sir," Tri said, answering Chief of Indonesia National Police’s question.
Sigit added if a self-isolation patient runs out or lacks medicine, he or she should immediately report to the NCO law enforcement officer for the drug package that has been prepared by the government to be sent.
In addition, Sigit also asked whether self-isolated patients had received social assistance or not. According to Sigit, for social assistance, residents can also contact a community police officer or NCO law enforcement officer to get the aid package.
"If [you] run out of [medicines], you can report to NCO Law Enforcement Officer. It will then be immediately sent. If it runs out, it will be sent again," Sigit said.
In addition to reviewing the Micro PPKM Command Post, the Commander of Indonesia National Armed Forces and Chief of Indonesia National Police also monitored mass vaccination at Holy Stadium, Semarang, Central Java. He reminded that until now the transmission rate of Covid-19 is still high.
For this reason, three steps to control the Covid-19 pandemic, which are enforcement of Health Protocols, acceleration of vaccines to the implementation of Emergency PPKM, must go hand in hand.
"These three things must be done simultaneously because we have seen the number (of Covid-19 transmission) continues to be high," he said.
Regarding vaccination, Sigit emphasized his party together with Indonesia National Armed Forces continue to mobilize all available resources to hold mass vaccinations as an effort to accelerate group immunity or herd immunity.
On that occasion, he invited community social groups, activists or fellow students who have the resources and abilities in the health sector to collaborate with Indonesia National Armed Forces - Indonesia National police to hold mass vaccination.
"This will be better for accelerating vaccination activities," the former Chief of Banten Regional Police said.
The former Head of Crime Investigation Agency of Indonesia National Police asked the public to understand and comply with Emergency PPKM as the government's effort to control Covid-19. He apologized if the policy disrupted activities, but this must be taken as a step to save the community from exposure to coronavirus or Covid-19.
"Please tell this to our families, maybe they don't understand that government is doing all of this to maintain public safety," Sigit said.
Commander of Indonesia National Armed Forces, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto added, in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic, commitment from all elements of society is needed without exception. At least, Hadi said the strategy in dealing with this invisible enemy, by using a face mask, obeying 3M (testing, tracing, treatment) and vaccine.
“Vaccination is to provide immunity. But remember, after the vaccine, we still need to wear masks and we must not be careless," Hadi concluded.
