Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Mataram. Chief of West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police, Police Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal, attended and inspected the Merdeka Presisi Vaccination Goes to Campus at the Abu Bakar Auditorium of Mataram University on Saturday (07/08/2021).
The Merdeka Presisi Vaccination Goes to Campus is conducted as the synergy from Armed Forces-Police and Mataram City Government, hospitals, and Student Executive Board of Mataram University in supporting Covid-19 handling acceleration in West Nusa Tenggara Province.
On that occasion, the Chief of West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police appealed to the participants to implement Health Protocols even though already been vaccinated.
According to the two-star general, public awareness is required in facing the Covid-19 pandemic.
Former Chief of PR and Press Division of National Police also reminded that college students have the great function of the moral post, as the guardians of proper norms in the community.
"The students become the locomotive of Health Protocols and Vaccination that we conducted today, initiated by all stakeholders. They could be the example for the community", Chief of Regional Police said.
Chief of West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police was quite proud when seeing the high enthusiasms of the Mataram University student who want to be vaccinated until all 1,000 allocated vaccine doses ran out in just two hours.
"God willing, I would report to the central (commander) to ask for more vaccines for the Police. Later, we would donate it to campuses in West Nusa Tenggara", the two-star general said.
For now, West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police has secured 23,000 vaccine doses for the Merdeka Presisi Vaccination Goes to Campus programme. If not enough, the Chief of West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police would ask for more doses from the central commander.
Meanwhile, Chief of PR and Press Agency of West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Artanto, said Merdeka Presisi Vaccination Goes to School programme is also held at West Sumbawa Regency. In Sumbawa Regency, the event would be held on August 18-19 with 1,000 vaccine doses for campuses such as UTS, ISSBUD, and UNSA as the target.
