Chief of South Sumatera Regional Police Instructs South Sumatera Regional Police to Form Special Team to Distribute Covid-19 Handling Grants from Akidi Tio's Family

South Sumatra Regional Police formed special team to manage IDR 2 trillion aid from the family of the deceased Akidi Tio, a businessperson from Langsa City, East Aceh Regency. This special team consists of the South Sumatera Regional Police and South Sumatera Health Agency.

"I make sure the special team created, they will distribute the aid as targeted and in line with the expectations of the family of the deceased Akidi Tio," Chief of South Sumatera Regional Police, Police Inspector General Eko Indra Heri, explained, Tuesday (07/27/21).

The two-star general said the aid would be distributed to the need of Covid-19 handling in South Sumatera. He admitted the mandate given is quite heavy to implement.

Therefore, fund aid is communicated with all parties so it will be quickly distributed to the right community.

"We will give it to people who are entitled to receive it. Of course, we will still comply with existing legal procedures," Chief of South Sumatera Regional Police explained.

Chief of South Sumatera Regional Police admitted he is very familiar with one of the relatives of the deceased Akidi Tio when he was still on duty in Aceh. He hopes this noble act can be imitated by number of people to ease the burden of people affected by Covid-19 pandemic.

"The fund were given by family member I knew when he was still on duty in Aceh and now he wants to help South Sumateran people who have been affected by Covid-19," Chief of South Sumatera Regional Police explained.
