Chief of Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, inspecting the implementation of Emergency PPKM (Public Activity Restriction Movement) at Kebonjayanti subdistrict, Kiara Condong, Bandung, West Java on Thursday (15/7/2021). During his visitation, the Chief of Police saw the development of the Covid-19 case in the region that consists of seven Neighbourhood Associations and 700 people.
From the data he gathers, the total of the confirmed Covid-19 case in this region is eight cases with six people recovered and two people dies. The seven Neighbourhood Associations are still in the Covid-19 green zone.
In this Emergency PPKM command post, until July 14, 400 people are vaccinated. The command post location close to the railway network and bus terminal is an apparent vulnerability of Covid-19 transmission. However, there are no new Covid-19 cases yet.
Using the data, this PPKM command post becomes the first place in City Departmental Police level as the best Micro-scaled PPKM command post in West Java Regional Police.
Chief of Police saw that steps taken by every institution in this region are already good in implementing Emergency PPKM.
"Good steps are being taken. Cooperation in this PPKM is already good between the health workers, officers, and community units from Armed Forces and Police", he said.
He also asked that even though it is classified as a green zone, Health Protocols must keep in place so the Covid-19 number could be pushed down. The exposed people must be treated appropriately. By the excellent cooperation, he ensures that Covid-19 transmission could be minimised.
"The key is limited interaction. Therefore, we impose Emergency PPKM. We did not hope for this, but this measure must become the government's measure to avoid new cases growth", he said.
In the implementation of Emergency PPKM, the former Chief of Criminal Investigation Agency said that Police would assist in giving social care packages to the people. One thousand basic food packages would be spread to people affected by Emergency PPKM.
"I order Chief of Sectoral Police and Commander of Military District to register them, and report it to the Chief of Departmental and Regional Police for the Emergency PPKM Social Care Package distribution", he said.
Besides inspecting Emergency PPKM implementation, the Chief of Police also inspects insulation checkpoint at Pasteur Toll Gate. Two hundred ninety-nine four-wheeled vehicles have been inspected until July 14. 13 vehicles are turned around, and 286 are allowed to pass.
