Commander of Armed Forces, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto; Chief of Police, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo; Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin; and Chief of National Disaster Management Authority, Lieutenant General Ganip Warsito, continue their visitation to the Yogyakarta Special Region.

The entourage inspected the Covid-19 mass vaccination site at Multifunction Hall of Adi Sutjipto Airfield, targeting 1,000 people vaccinated per day.

During the occasion, Sigit said that Police are ready to facilitate all people who want to hold mass vaccination events. According to him, it is an effort to accelerate herd immunity to the Coronavirus.

"If there are people interested to held a vaccination event, Armed Forces-Police will provide facilities and vaccine vials so herd immunity could be achieved faster", Sigit said at Adi Sutjipto Airfield, Yogyakarta, on Thursday (8/7/2021).

Former Chief of Banten Regional Police also encourages people and students of the Faculty of Medicine in Yogyakarta to actively participate in mass vaccination events.

Sigit viewed that more cooperation from many community elements will correlate to a sooner realisation of herd immunity.

"Therefore, on this occasion, there are many Faculties of Medicine in Yogyakarta or places that have health workers. Everyone is welcomed to join and assist vaccination events held by Armed Forces-Police and Local Health Agency", the Former Chief of Criminal Investigation Agency of the Indonesian National Police explains.

After inspecting the vaccination event, the entourage continues their journey to the insulation checkpoint at Prambanan, Yogyakarta, located on Solo TWC street, Yogyakarta.

During that occasion, Sigit is campaigning and educating people regarding the importance of insulation policies. According to him, the policy is required to reduce public mobility and suppress Covid-19 transmission.

"We have conducted mobility restriction because it is the key of Covid-19 handling", Former Chief of Police Profession and Security Division of Indonesian National Police said.

From his visitation, according to Sigit, there are still traffic jams found. However, according to Sigit, the incident occurred because people have not understood the essential and critical sectors related to traveller's requirements.

After mass campaigning, people are expected to understand more about the sector's categories and the awareness that this policy is in effect to save all Indonesians.

"Therefore, the policy needs to be informed and campaigned. Today, Thanks to God, people are starting to understand that only those working in essential and critical sectors are allowed to work (and pass the checkpoint). We are doing this for the sake of people's safety", Sigit concluded.
