Chief of Indonesian National Police Requires the Covid-19 Cluster Contingency Management Manual to Be in Officer's Pocket

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Indonesian National Police Headquarter has printed the Covid-19 cluster contingency guidebook to handle the spread of the coronavirus. The book has been printed and distributed to officers, especially Bhabinkamtibmas (Village Leadership Non-Commissioned Officer for Social Security and Order), who are on duty at Micro PPKM (community restriction) Command Post.

An officer showed the book to the Commander of Indonesia National Armed Forces, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto and Chief of Indonesia National Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo when they visited Nagrak Flat and the PPKM Mikro West Semper Command Post, North Jakarta, Sunday (06/27/2021).

The book is handy for members at the forefront because it describes how to handle the pandemic.

For example, it was determining the command post and its controller when the contingency occurs. Then the preparation of facilities and infrastructure such as ambulances, antigen swab equipment, PPE, medicines, tracing formula, quarantine/isolation monitoring forms, communication media, information, and Covid-19 education.

The guidebook also contains how to handle the Covid-19 cluster with the 3T (tracing, testing and Treatment) and 5M (wearing masks, washing hands, keeping the distance, avoiding crowds and limiting mobility).

Including logistics or shared kitchen needs. Determination of centralized isolation place and referral hospital. "It is beneficial for us in the field because it explains many things about handling Covid-19," said Police Second Inspector Luluk S, a member of Bhabinkamtibmas Cilincing.

The Head of the Public Affairs Division of Indonesia National Police, Police Inspector General Argo Yuwono, mentioned that the manual has been printed and distributed to all Regional Police, Police Resort, and Police Sector throughout Indonesia. "As the front line in handling Covid-19, Chief of Indonesia National Police ordered the book should always be in the pockets of the Bhabinkamtibmas," Argo said.

The two-star general said this book is a form of contribution and struggle of Indonesia National Police in supporting the government to prevent the wide spread of Covid-19. "This is solely done to uphold the principle of "Salus Populi Suprema Lex Esto", public safety is the highest law," Argo concluded.
