JAKARTA – Chief of Indonesia National Police, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo mentioned to all Indonesia National Armed Forces -Indonesia National Police’s Youth Officer Candidates (Capaja) in 2021 regarding the importance of synergy and solidity between the TNI and Polri. It’s important to manifest Advanced Indonesia and Golden Indonesia 2045.
This was conveyed virtually by Sigit when giving briefings to 700 Indonesia National Armed Forces -Indonesia National Police Youth Officer Candidates at Indonesia National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Wednesday (7/7/2021).
"Synergy and solidity of the Indonesia National Armed Forces -Indonesia National Police must always be maintained and strengthened at all levels, from the highest leadership to the lowest levels, wherever and whenever. Solidity and synergy between the Indonesia National Armed Forces and Indonesia National Police is a fixed price and main capital in manifesting Advanced Indonesia and a Golden Indonesia 2045," Sigit said.
Sigit said Indonesia National Armed Forces and Indonesia National Police are state institutions that have gone through a long historical journeys, starting from independence to the reform era. As the next generation, Sigit asked all Youth Officer Candidates to never forget history as a way to continue the work of Indonesia National Armed Forces-Indonesia National Police struggle in Indonesia.
According to the former Chief of Banten Regional Police, despite the long history of the institution, Indonesia National Armed Forces and Indonesia National Police are still one unit whose job is to protect and guard the entire Indonesian nation.
"Even though they have been separated, in essence, Indonesia National Armed Forces-Indonesia National Police are still one unit, as the front guard in protecting the entire Indonesian nation," the former Head of Criminal Investigation Unit said.
Currently, Sigit said, the role of Indonesia National Armed Forces and Indonesia National Police is also needed by the state and society in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic that is occurring in Indonesia. Both institutions are at the forefront in handling the coronavirus.
Sigit also hopes Indonesia National Armed Forces -Indonesia National Police’s Youth Officer Candidates to be ready to face all forms of challenges and threats as well as disturbances to security and public order that arise from global and national.
"Understand the challenges of an increasingly complex and uncertain task," Sigit said.
Meanwhile, Sigit asked all Youth Officer Candidates to pay attention to all attitudes and behaviour. Sigit said if they act arrogance and misbehave, then it will have an impact on the two institutions.
