Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Chief of Criminal Investigation Agency of Indonesian National Police, General Commissioner Agus Andrianto, said that he has suggested Ministry of Health issued a regulation on medicine's HET (highest retail price) alteration.
Chief of Criminal Investigation Agency suggests that medicine's producers can change medicine's HET without changing the packaging.
"I was in Cianjur yesterday to ensure strengthening the medicine producers to simply cross the old HET and change it with the new HET. In the invoice, the price would be adjusted to the new price. Therefore, they do not have to retract the medicine from the market", General Commissioner Agus Andrianto said on Monday (12/7/2021).
General Commissioner Agus stated that he had suggested the Ministry of Health. Chief of Criminal Investigation Agency hopes that the ministry issues the new circular letter related to the crossing off old HET without changing its packaging.
According to the Chief of Criminal Investigation Agency, this will shorten the time and guaranteeing medicine availability during the pandemic. Changing medicine's packaging to write the new HET will take too long.
"I have addressed this concern to the General Directorate of Health Pharmacy of Ministry of Health to issue the circular letter related to the deletion and invoice. We have suggested the Minister of Health as well", Chief of Criminal Investigation Agency said.
"The problem is, with the new HET, producers have to retract its medicine distribution to change the HET. This will take too long and can lead to medicine scarcity. Perhaps they are also scared because they may violate regulations from Ministry of Health and Food and Drugs Supervising Agency", General Commissioner Agus Andrianto continues.
General Commissioner Agus Andrianto hopes that medicine producers not too afraid of the Police's supervision. He affirms that medicines with old HET do not have to be hoarded.
He will also ensure to punish the online medicine sellers who jack up the price above the HET. Chief of Criminal Investigation Agency suspects that the regulation would be misappropriated on the retail level.
"Do not let the medicine scarcity is because of Police's supervision. We are punishing online sellers who jack up the price above the HET. It is prone to misappropriation, mainly on the retail level", Chief of Criminal Investigation Agency explained.
The new HET of the medicines for the Covid-19 patients are as follows: 1. Favipiravir 200 mg (tablet) Rp22,500 2. Remdesivir 100 mg (injection) Rp510,000 3. Oseltamivir 75 mg (capsule) Rp26,500 4.
