Central Sulawesi Regional Police DVI and Inafis Teams Identified Two Bodies from Poso Terrorist's Wanted List

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Palu. The fourth day of the evacuation of two bodies from Poso Terrorist's wanted list finally succeeded with the body sent to Palu by Armed Forces' Super Puma helicopter from Makassar on Wednesday (14/7/2021).
Ambulance units of Palu Bhayangkara Hospital stood by on the helipad of the Central Sulawesi Regional Police Headquarter. They received the bodies to later conduct autopsy by the DVI (Disaster Victim Identification) and Inafis (Indonesia Automatic Fingerprint Identification System) teams from Central Sulawesi Regional Police.
Chief of PR of Madago Raya Operation, represented by his Deputy Chief, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Bronto Budiyono, said that the Corpse Installation Unit of the Palu Bhayangkara Hospital had received the two bodies of Poso Terrorist's wanted list on 15.30 local time from the Armed Forces' Special Joint Operation Commander and Madago Raya Task Force on Wednesday (14/7/2021).
The DVI and Inafis teams of Central Sulawesi Regional Police have optimally investigated the two bodies because the bodies have decomposed, so it is hard to identify the Deputy Chief of PR of Madago Raya Operation.
Deputy Chief of PR of Madago Raya Operation explained that the verification through fingerprint had been conducted, but further supporting evidence is needed, such as a DNA test. Therefore, Police expect cooperation from the two families of the deceased to provide DNA samples to speed up identification.
Deputy Chief of PR of Madago Raya Operation also stated that both bodies are decomposed. The burial in Islamic beliefs is quickly conducted towards the two bodies temporarily identified as Mr X.
Deputy Chief of PR of Madago Raya Operation addressed appreciation from the Chief of Central Sulawesi Regional Police towards the public of the operation's area that has been actively involved and brave in fighting against radicalism and terrorism and the Chief of Central Sulawesi Regional, as the person in charge for the Madago Raya Operation, hope that the Poso terrorists to voluntarily surrender to avoid further fallen victims.
