This achievement is proven by the squad's success in discovering 20 drugs abuse cases, which is delivered during the press conference at the lobby room of Central Kalimantan Regional Police Headquarter on Thursday (08/07/2021) at 8 a.m. The press conference is led by Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police, Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, and accompanied by Head of Food and Drug Supervisor Agency and representatives from Province Narcotics Agency.
The press conference is held to deliver Central Kalimantan Regional Police's achievements in uncovers narcotics cases for the last two months from April to June 2021, occurred in six regencies: Palangka Raya city, Kotawaringin Timur regency, Gunung Mas regency, Seruyan Regency, Kapuas Regency, and Pulang Pisau regency.
On these case disclosures, Central Kalimantan Regional Police arrested 24 people and seized 1,073.94 grams of methamphetamine. Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police said that these are proof of Police's, or mainly Central Kalimantan Regional Police's consistency that never tired in eradicating drugs distribution in Central Kalimantan.
"The modus operandi is that some evidences are from Pontianak and delivered through West and Central Kalimantan border and distrubuted in Kotawaringin Timur, Seruyan, and Palangka Raya. the rest are from Banjarmasin, brought by road to Palangka Raya, Pulang Pisau, Kapuas, and Gunung Mas to be distributed in agricultural and mining areas", Chief of Regional Police said.
Furthermore, the Chief of Regional Police also thanks the personnel of the Directorate of Drugs Investigation Agency of the Regional Police that has sacrificed their lives in running their duty on eradicating drugs in Central Kalimantan.
"The suspects are dealers and couriers, and subjected to Article 114 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 112 paragraph 2 of Law No. 35 of 2009 about Narcotics and threatened by a minimum of five years in prison and Rp1 million fine and a maximum of twenty years in prison or life in prison or death penalty and maximum fines of Rp10 billion", Chief of Regional Police concludes.
