Celebrating the 75th Bhayangkara Day, West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Distributed 3,275 Packages of Nine-Basic-Needs for People Affected by Covid-19

Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Mataram. West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police distributed 3,275 packages of nine-basic-needs (sembako) for people affected by Covid-19 pandemic, especially victims of layoffs (PHK), underprivileged families, and retirement of Indonesian National Armed Forces-Indonesia National Police.

"We carried out this social activity as part of series to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Bhayangkara. As previously implemented last year, the target of distribution this time is for people affected by Covid-19," Chief of West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police explained.

The distribution which was held simultaneously on national scale, was symbolically carried out at Bhara Daksa Field at West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Headquarters, Friday (06/25). Every package brought by Babinsa (Village Leadership non-commissioned officer) and Bhabinkamtibmas (Village Leadership non-commissioned officer for social Security and order) would be straightly delivered to the target. The convoy of transporting aid vehicles was released by the Chief of West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police along with number of government officials in West Nusa Tenggara.

Target recipients of the packages have gone through objective data collection by referring to direct monitoring in the field that have been synchronised with data from the government, he said.

"So we have coordinated to whom the package should be delivered, who has the rights to receive social assistance. So everything is 'by name by address'," Chief of West Nusa Tenggara Police said.
