Tribratanews.polri.go.id- Batam. Ahead of Bhayangkara Day in 2021, the Directorate of Water and Air Police of Riau Islands Regional Police carried out flower sowing at sea from Sekupang Pier of Directorate of Water and Air Riau Islands Regional Police, Tuesday (06/29/2021).
The Flower sowing is one of the routine agendas commemorated every year. It is an expression of appreciation for the services and struggles of heroes and fighters who have sacrificed their bodies and souls to keep Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
The flower sowing was led directly by Deputy Chief of Riau Islands Regional Police, Police Brigadier General Drs. Darmawan and attended by High-Rank Officers of Riau Islands Regional Police, Director of Water and Air Police of Riau Islands Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Gieuseppe Reinhard Gultom, Head of Law Enforcement Sub-Directorate of Water and Air Directorate of Riau Islands Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Attendant Nurochman Nulhakim and the Chief of Barelang City Resort Police.
"Sowing flowers to the sea is to commemorate the services of the previous city heroes. This is a series of Bhayangkara's 75th Anniversary this year," the Director of Water and Air Police of Riau Islands Regional Police said the Head of Law Enforcement Sub-Directorate of Water and Air Directorate of Riau Islands Regional Police, AKBP Nurochman Nulhakim, to the media.
The Head of Law Enforcement Sub-Directorate of Water and Air Directorate of Riau Islands Regional Police said that since it is still in the Covid-19 pandemic, the ceremony and flower sowing were limited and conducted only for internal from the Water and Air Directorate and High-Rank Officers of Riau Islands Regional Police.
"The Bhayangkara Anniversary event this time will be held in a simple manner, and the top of the event will be held on July 1. We will continue to focus on handling Covid-19 together with the government," the Head of Law Enforcement Sub-Directorate of the Water and Air Directorate of Riau Islands Regional Police said.
He explained Water and Air Directorate support the successful implementation of vaccinations together with the Government. The support is in the form of facilities and infrastructure for vaccination to the islands in the Riau Islands region.
The ships will carry vaccines and their vaccinator personnel to small islands. The ship is ready as needed.
"We provide the special ship, and it will run every day according to what has been scheduled together. Whether it's to take or pick up medical personnel," he said.
