Celebrating 75th Bhayangkara Day, Central Java Regional Police Held Social Service Event

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Semarang. In celebrating 75th Bhayangkara Day, Central Java Regional Police held a social service event simultaneously from June 25 to September 9, 2021.

The event was started by giving basic necessities packages symbolically.

"Even though conducted during Covid-19 pandemic, this event will not reduce our solemnity and determination in improving performance on public service", Chief of Central Java Regional Police, Police Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi, said.

This event aims to support the government programme according to the theme of 75th Bhayangkara Day, which is titled "Presisi Police Transformation in Supporting Acceleration of Covid-19 Handling for Healthy People and National Economic Recovery towards Advanced Indonesia".

Thirty-five thousand packages of basic necessities would be handed to retired police/widows of Armed Forces, orphanage, offline motor-taxi drivers, disabled people, and freelance labourer.

Each package contains 5 kilograms of rice, 1 kilogram of sugar, 2 litres of cooking oil, one pack of teabags, one bottle of sweet soy sauce, and a can of sardines.

Chief of Regional Police said that this event would be continued to held in stages towards people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

"This activity is a part of Presisi police service according to the programme of Chief of National Police to the people", Chief of Regional Police said on Friday (25/6/2021).

This social service event is a form of Police care during the Covid-19 pandemic and aims to help alleviate some economic burdens of the people during the pandemic and avoiding Covid-19 transmission or new clusters.

"Do not forget that this pandemic has not ended yet, so please adhere to the Health Protocols such as 5M and let us pray for this Covid-19 can go away", Chief of Regional Police said.''

Chief of Regional Police also reminds all Police personnel to keep the spirit in serving the public in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Let us remind each other to stay healthy and maintain cleanliness because preventing is better than treating", the Chief of Regional Police said.

Chief of Regional Police hopes that this activity could be sustainable. He also appreciated all parties involved in this activity.
