Director of Vital Object Security of Bali Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Harri Sindu Nugroho, lead the punishment towards foreigners who violated Covid-19 Health Protocols (did not wear a face mask) on Monday (12/7/2021) at Pantai Batubolong street, Canggu, Badung regency.
During this occasion, the Director of Vital Object Security of Bali Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Harri Sindu Nugroho, said that this place was informed to be rampant of Canggu foreigners not adhering to Health Protocols. Therefore, starting today, there will be prosecutions against foreigners who do not wear a face mask.
During this operation, personnel involved are from Bali Regional Police, Badung Departmental Police, Kuta Utara Sectoral Police, Bali Municipal Police, and Immigration Agency of the Bali Regional Office of Law and Human Rights.
Furthermore, Police Grand Commissioner Harri Sindu Nugroho said that 13 foreigners are prosecuted during this activity because they do not wear face masks. They are fined Rp1,000,000 on the spot by Bali Municipal Police.
He also said that this prosecution activity would keep going with changing locations, in accordance with the situation and condition, and place where the foreigners used to gather or meet.
"All foreigners in Bali, mainly in Denpasar and its surroundings, must adhere to the government's Health Protocol regulations", Police Grand Commissioner Harri Sindu Nugroho said.
During the Emergency PPKM (Public Activity Restriction Enforcement), besides punishing Health Protocols violators, Police also appeals to the non-essential business sectors that are still in operation at Pantai Batubolong streets such as clothing stores, swimming outfit stores, spa, and beauty stores and also reprimand restaurants that still accepts dine-in.
