The Air and Water Police (DitPolairud) Directorate of the Bangka Belitung Islands Police (Babel) arrested three Banyuasin residents who were trying to smuggle Rp10.14 billion in lobster seeds or fry in Mentok waters, West Bangka, Tuesday (07/20/2021). The three of them transported 13 boxes of fried shrimp from Sungsang Harbor using tongue speed.
Babylon Regional Police,Pol. Inspector General Anang Syarif Hidayat, said that the three perpetrators with the initials RI (40) were the captain, MR (31) and MD (26) the crew. The three of them brought the fry without permission to Mentok waters.
"The three perpetrators were arrested in Mentok Waters while transporting 13 boxes containing lobster seeds," explained the Police Chief of Babel Police.
The Ditpolairud of the Babel Regional Police arrested the three perpetrators after receiving information that there was a transaction of fried shrimp using a fast boat in Mentok Waters, West Bangka Regency. Patrols are carried out by sweeping until members see suspicious light signals.
The light signal is at the coordinates of 01 41' 143” S - 1049 57' 703” E, when approached by members, they found one tongue speed unit with a total of three crew members carrying cargo. Then the members do the inspection.
"After an inspection of one-speed tongue unit was found 13 boxes containing lobster seeds. Furthermore, members secured three crew members along with the evidence and immediately took them to the Director of Water and Air Police of Babel Regional Police Islands," explained the Babel Regional Police Chief.
