Chief of Merauke Departmental Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Untung Sangaji, through the Chief of Sota Sectoral Police, Police Commissioner Attendant Makruf Soeroto, confirms that the joint forces of Armed Forces-Police to secure and guard the distribution of Cash Transfer Aid (BLT) in every village in Sota district, near Indonesia - Papua New Guinea border on Tuesday (27/7/2021).
In his instruction, the Chief of Sota Sectoral Police emphasise that every Community Police personnel in areas under the jurisdiction of Sota Sectoral Police conduct BLT security and guarding operation sincerely and full of responsibility.
One of them is the Community Police Unit of Rawa Biru, Police Chief Brigadier Bripka Lutfi, who assisted the first phase of BLT distribution in his assigned village back in 2021.
The distribution of BLT was conducted at Rawa Biru Village Hall, Sota District and obeyed Health Protocols. The first phase of BLT distribution was conducted in five months (January to May 2021), sourced from Village Budget as much as Rp257,110,600, with 63 households as the recipients. Each household is given Rp300,000 per month, so the total amount is Rp1,500,000 per household.
He appeals to the BLT recipients to utilise this aid well and could fulfil daily necessities in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, so the aid is on target and does not use for unnecessary things, and also stay healthy and adhere to Health Protocols. He hopes that the residents could maintain security and order in Rawa Biru village.
The event was attended by Sota district leader, Yuliastri Karim; Rawa Biru Village Head, Thomas Kosi Sanggra; Armed Forces-Police; Assistants; Rawa Biru village apparatus; and the residents. The activity was safe and in order.
