Anticipating Full Hospital Capacity, Central Kalimantan Regional Police Transformed Aman Hotel into Covid-19 Isolation Facility

Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police, Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, ensure the expansion of Bhayangkara Hospital in the form of transforming Aman Hotel self-isolation facility for the patient tested positive for Covid-19. The facility would be in operation by next week.

"This is our anticipation measure in mitigating Covid-19 rising cases. As information, Covid-19 treatment facilities in some hospitals are almost full", Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police said on Friday (16/7).

Aman Hotel would be a treatment and self-isolation facility for the people who tested positive for Covid-19 for Police personnel and their families and the general public.

Chief of Regional Police stated that if hospital facilities have reached 100% capacity, patients could be transferred from Bhayangkara Hospital to Aman Hotel.

"Aman Hotel would become a treatment facility for Covid-19 patients with mild and moderate symptoms. This hotel has 44 rooms and can accommodate up to 80 patients", Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police said.

"Equipment to support the treatment facility is in preparation. We will communicate Local Health Agency and universities on health workers assistance, including health workers from the Indonesian National Police Headquarter", Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police adds.
