Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Mataram.  The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police intensified their patrols, both by sea and by air, to support security for the G20 Summit in Bali.

The security was carried out considering that the Province of West Nusa Tenggara is the buffer zone for Bali, where G20 leaders are gathering to attend the G20 Summit.

"For air patrols, we have prepared helicopters from the Water and Air Police Corps. Likewise, in the sea area, ships have been prepared to carry out patrols. All passengers and vehicles will be checked at every port and airport. If anything suspicious is found, action will be taken immediately," explained the Head of Public Relations of the NTB Regional Police, Commissioner Artanto, Tuesday (11/15).

During the security activities of the G20 Summit on Lombok Island, the West Nusa Tenggara Police Chief Inspector General Djoko Poerwanto has also ordered all of his staff to carry out enhanced routine activities (KRYD).

"The aim is to prevent potential security disturbances in the community by prioritizing preemptive and preventive steps. We make sure that representatives from other countries participating in the G20 Summit return home feeling safe," he said as quoted from lombokpost.jawapos.com.

Meanwhile, Central Lombok Police Chief AKBP Irfan Nurmansyah said the patrols were being carried out to anticipate any sea or movement violations that could disrupt the G20 Summit in Bali. Every suspicious vessel will be inspected. "Because in Central Lombok, there is also a pier that docks ships coming directly from Bali," explained AKBP Irfan.
