Ahead of the 75th Bhayangkara Day, West Kalimantan Regional Police Distributed 7,500 Packages of Nine-Basic-Needs

Tribratanews.polri.go.id- Pontianak. Welcoming the Bhayangkara Day, West Kalimantan Regional Police organised social service simultaneously in all Resort Police. West Kalimantan Regional Police distributed 7,500 packages of nine-basic-needs (sembako) to people affected by Covid-19 pandemic.

"Today, all Resort Polices and its ranks have distributed 7,500 packages of nine-basic-needs to people in need," Chief of West Kalimantan Regional Police Inspector General R Sigid Tri Hardjanto said in Pontianak, Friday (06/25/2021).

For West Kalimantan Regional Police, there are 1,000 packages distributed in Pontianak City and Kubu Raya Regency.

Head of West Kalimantan Regional Police said this social service was driven by Indonesia National Police and Bhayangkari to welcome the 75th Bhayangkara Day on July 1, 2021. This activity was carried out simultaneously by the police throughout Indonesia.

"This is manifestation of Police's concern to the people affected by Covid-19 pandemic," he said.

He also explained in the distribution of social service package, West Kalimantan Regional Police deployed 200 personnels and 97 cars and motorbikes.

Symbolically, Chief of West Kalimantan Regional Police and his wife directly handed over the packages of nine-basic-needs and at the same time released the social service group.

"The 7,500 basic food packages are prioritised for orphans, homeless people, online motorcycle taxis, retired people, and people who need it more," he said.
