Indonesian President Landed in Bali to Review the Preparation for G20 Summit

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Bali.  A week before the G20 Summit was held, President Joko Widodo and Mrs. Iriana Joko Widodo left for Bali to review a number of things in the location prior the meetings of G20 countries. Flown with the Indonesian-1 presidential plane, the President and his entourage took off from the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, on Monday, November 7, 2022, at around 18:00 WIB.

Upon arrival at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Badung Regency, the President and Mrs. Iriana were greeted like the guests from the G20 countries. While descending from the plane, the President was greeted by troops of honor and Balinese dances in the tarmac area.

Appearing to welcome President Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana were Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Coordinator of G20 Assistance Wishnutama Kusubandio, Head of State Protocol Andi Rachmianto , Governor of Bali I Wayan Koster, Regional Military Commander of Udayana Major General Sonny Aprianto, and Head of Bali Police Inspector General Putu Jayaan Danu Putra.

After that, President Jokowi also briefly visited the VIP room of the airport, which will serve as a checkpoint for G20 leaders when they arrive in Bali. The President then headed to the hotel where he was staying before continuing his agenda in the next day.

Tomorrow, the Head of State is scheduled to review the preparation of several places and facilities for the G20 Summit in Bali.

In his visit to Bali, the Presidential entourage were accompanied by tge Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Bey Machmudin, Presidential Military Secretary Admiral TNI Hersan, Commander of the Presidential Guard Wahyu Hidayat Sudjatmiko, and Personal Secretary President Anggit Noegroho.
