Police and Marines Helped the People in Tamiang District Who got Stuck in Flood

A number of Border Police Officers of the Kejuruan Muda Sector Police, along with a number of Marine personnel and local residents, helped vehicles that were caught in a flood on the border of Aceh Tamiang District, particularly on Medan Street - Banda Aceh Simpang Karang Jadi Seumadam Village, Saturday (11/5).

Based on the report of the Aceh Tamiang Police Chief, AKBP Imam Asfali, said that several vehicles caught in the flood at that location broke down due to the flood which reached a water level of about 130 cm.

"A number of vehicles that were caught in the flood and broke down were immediately helped by the police along with Marine personnel and local residents at around 13:00 WIB until finished, so that traffic flow could run smoothly again," explained the Head of Public Relations of the Aceh Police, Commissioner Winardy.

The Head of Public Relations of the Aceh Police explained that the flooding that occurred in the area due to the overflow of the Tamiang river caused by high rainfall in the Upstream Region caused almost all of Kejuruan Muda Subdistricts to flood, including the Medan - Banda Aceh intersection, Simpang Karang Jadi Seumadam Village, Vocational Muda Subdistrict, Aceh Tamiang District.
