Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Human Resources Staff (SSDM) of the National Police launched a public complaint hotline related to the recruitment process of prospective police officers.

People who experience, see, hear, and know of any alleged irregularities in the process of recruiting police candidates can complain to the cellphone number 085773760016, which is directly connected to the INP SSDM WhatsApp application.

“This recruitment activity must contribute well by implementing the principles of BETAH or clean, transparent, accountable and humanist,” Assistant Chief of Police for Human Resources Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo said in his remarks during the launch ceremony at the INP Headquarters at Jalan Trunojoyo, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (4/11/2023).

The launch of the complaint hotline was attended by the heads of bureaus and section heads at the INP SSDM, representatives of the INP Profession and Security Division, representatives of the INP Inspectorate of General Supervision, the National Police Commission, the Indonesian Medical Association (IDI), the Indonesian Psychology Association (HIMPSI) Himpsi and some non-governmental organizations as well as representatives from the regional police offices.

“This is a special HR operation. Police recruitment has received an ISO certificate with BETAH principles.  This is our responsibility. It is important to increase public trust in the INP. Currently, it has reached 70.8 percent,” he said, adding that it is expected to change the lingering image in the community that it takes a lot of money to enroll in the INP.

The former INP chief spokesperson warned that violations in the recruitment process of the INP members must be avoided at all costs, saying that police officials, both at the central and regional levels, must mitigate fraud in the recruitment process of the INP members.

“We must change the image. The example of the case in Central Java is enough to hit us. Don’t let it happen again. Mitigate from the beginning to the end of the recruitment process,” he asserted.

In addition, the general instructed his staff, both in central and regional committees, to cooperate with external parties to supervise the recruitment process.

He emphasized that operators must proactively respond to the public through the only hotline number officially used by the INP SSDM hotline.  However, he warned the public not to immediately believe receive messages or calls from numbers other than the INP SSDM hotline and the hotline of each regional committee, which claim to be the committee for the recruitment of members of the Police.

“If there are other numbers, they are people who take advantage of the recruitment process to seek their benefits,” the former Central Kalimantan Police Chief said.
