Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Merauke. The Special Detachment 88 Anti-terror Police managed to arrest 10 suspected terrorists in Merauke Regency, Papua. The arrests were made in several districts in Merauke on Friday (28/05/2021).
In his statement, the Head of Merauke Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Untung Sangaji, confirmed the arrest of 10 suspected terrorists with all the evidence that is dangerous to society. The arrests by the Police Densus 88 Anti-Terror Team were carried out in several different places, among them they were arrested in Jagebob, Kurik, Tanah Miring, and throughout Merauke.
"The presence of the suspected terrorists in Merauke is believed to have carried out various actions at the house of worship. The terrorist suspects have not yet launched an action because security forces have been on guard at a number of places of worship. They want to shoot or put bombs in the church but we (the security apparatus) ) are full (on guard) in the Church, "said the Merauke Police Chief.
