Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Jambi. The evacuation team managed to reach the emergency landing site for the Jambi Police Chief’s group in the Tamiai forest, Kerinci Regency, Jambi at 13.30-13.45 WIB. The air evacuation team consisted of 2 members of Mobile Brigade Police, 2 members of SAR, and 2 members of Health and Medical Department Jambi Regional Police.
“The Jambi Regional Police Health and Medical Team who participated in the evacuation helicopter is currently providing first aid to the Jambi Police Chief and other victims,” said Chief of Public Relation Department, Police Senior Superintendent Mulya Prianto, Monday (2/20/23).
Mulya Prianto explained, until now, the team has determined a safe location for evacuation by air with all the limitations of equipment. However, the Brimob and SAR teams succeeded in cutting several branches and trees that could interfere with the airway evacuation process.
“Currently the team is carrying out cleaning the location to pick up trees and branches. The team even got off the helicopter using a rope,” he explained.
Previously it was reported that the Jambi Police Chief would be dispatched to the Jambi Bhayangkara Hospital. Travel by air is predicted to take 1.5 hours.
