Polda Metro Jaya Pursue Vaccination Goal for The Elderly

19 February 2022 - 15:51 WIB
Metro Jaya Police Chief (Kapolda Metro Jaya) Inspector General (Irjen) Fadil Imran directly inspected the continuation of the simultaneous vaccination at the Tangerang City Government Center (Puspem), Friday (18/2/22).

Irjen Fadil Imran stated that around 1,300 residents, especially the elderly and children, were prioritized to get vaccine injections at these locations. This step is taken to achieve the vaccine goals for the elderly and children who are still under 100 percent.

"Generally, the vaccination achievement in Tangerang City for doses 1 and 2 is already reached 100%. However, we need to maximize vaccination for the elderly because the data for dose 1 for the elderly is only 84% while the second dose is only 72%," said Kapolda.

Kapolda also said that to optimize efforts to accelerate vaccination for the elderly and children, his party collaborated with a number of stakeholders, from the Polsek, Koramil, Babinsa, Babinkamtibnas, even to the Head Ward, to identify vulnerable residents who had not been vaccinated.

They aimed to vaccinate around 1,300 residents, especially the elderly, children, and the general public, at the Tangerang City Government Center.

“Hopefully this storm of Omicron would calm down in Tangerang, Jakarta, Banten, and its surrounding area,” said the Two-Star General.
