Police Launches Investigation of a Disappeared Susi Air Plane in Nduga

Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Papua. Nduga Police is investigating the strange disappearance of a Porter Pilatus Susi Air plane with flight number SI 9368. The plane was carrying 5 passengers when it landed at Paro Airport in Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains Province and lost contact shortly after.

Papua Police Spokesperson Senior Commissioner Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo stated that according to the report of Timika Regional Manager of Susi Air Jeremy Jordan Rumi, the plane that piloted by Philip Max Marthin, a New Zealand citizen, took off from Mozes Kilangin Airport in Mimika Regency and was headed to Paro Airport in Paro District in Nduga Regency.

β€œAt 06.17 Indonesian East Time, the plane landed at Paro Airport in Nduga Regency. But as of 09.15 Indonesian East Time, the plane has not yet returned to Timika from there,” he said.

Joint forces of Damai Cartenz Operation, Nduga Police personnel, and Indonesian Military will investigate the condition of the pilot and all passengers on the plane and are looking into the possibility that the plane being seized by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) led by Egianus Kogoya, he added.
