Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta The modesty of police members will make them able to accepted by the community easier, according to the Executive Director of Indonesian Police Strategic Studies Institute, Edi Saputra Hasibuan in his written statement in Jakarta, Monday (10/24) night. On the other hand, if police officers show off their hedonistic lifestyle, it can actually create a distance between the Police and the community.
"We ask all members of the National Police to stop showing off any kinds of luxurious lifestyle. We support the policy of the National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo, who wants to make the police live a simple and modest lifestyle," he said, quoted from Antaranews.com.
He said that the appearance of members of the National Police and their families currently is in the public spotlight.
"Appearances that are being watched by the public is down to the fashion, watches, shoes, branded bags, to luxury vehicles used by the police," he explained further.
He also asked the Division of Profession and Security to act upon police members and their families who still showing off their excessive and use luxury lifestyles.
