TGIPF Report Found the Football Fans Also Bear Responsibility in Kanjuruhan Tragedy

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Surabaya.  The Joint Independent Fact Finding Team (TGIPF) reported that Arema FC supporters were also responsible for the riots that occurred at the Kanjuruhan Stadium.

TGIPF explained three important points about the supporters that were conveyed to President Joko Widodo on Friday (10/14).

First, supporters are considered to have ignored the prohibition to enter the Kanjuruhan Stadium field area. They also violated FIFA rules, such as lighting flares, and throwing things onto the field.

In the TGIPF report, it was written "Didn't know/ignore the prohibition on entering the football field, including the prohibition on throwing flares into the field".

Second, TGIPF also said that the supporters was being violent and provoked the security forces.

Finally, based on TGPF's findings, supporters were also found to have committed destructive actions by throwing hard objects.

Even in the TGIPF report, it was stated that the supporters were proven to have attacked Arema FC reserve players and officers.The report stated that the fans throwed some hard objects and attacked Arema FC reserve players and officers.

Furthermore, the TGIPF report will be developed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo.

TGIPF recommends that the National Police to immediately follow up their investigations result, such as fans who first entered the field which provoked other supporters to follow suit, supporters who threw flares, damaged cars inside the stadium, and burned cars outside the stadium.

In its report, TGIPF also provides a final note so that the Police continue their criminal investigations against other people who are also strongly suspected of being involved and must be held criminally responsible in the Kanjuruhan tragedy.
