The Commander of the Jaya/Jayakarta Military Region, Major General Untung Budiharto, went directly to monitor today's demonstration at the Horse Statue Monas with the Head of the Metro Jaya Police, Inspector General Mohammad Fadil Imran, at the Jaya Silang Military Command Post, Monas, Jakarta on Tuesday (13/09/2022)
A total of 1,420 Kodam Jaya personnel were deployed to anticipate the demonstration held at Silang Monas, precisely at the Horse Statue, to prevent anarchy in the demonstrations that occured in DIKI Jakarta, the Commander of Jaya Military Commander immediately dispatched his soldiers
"The Commander of the Jaya/Jayakarta Military, who was already on around Monas was seen several times monitoring the demonstrations and occasionally greeting the demonstrators, giving directions not to act anarchically," he explained.
The Commander of the Jaya/Jayakarta Military said, the demonstrations were held by various elements of society, students, workers, and mass organizations in conveying their aspirations. He adds that they have been doing great in conveying their aspirations, which means it is a step forward in our democracy and we must be proud for it.
