Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Cikampek. The Chief of Indonesian National Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo revealed that the 2023 homecoming flow had experienced a significant increase. Nevertheless, so far it has been relatively smooth, thanks to traffic engineering that is adaptive to situations and conditions.

"Alhamdulillah, thanks to the engineering that was carried out, everything went smoothly, it was resolved," said General Listyo Sigit Prabowo while directly observing the homecoming flow on the Cikampek KM 70 Highway together with relevant stakeholders, Thursday (4/20/2023).

INP Chief said the number of travelers passing the Cikampek Toll Road reached the highest figure compared to 2019 and 2022. This year, there was an increase of 20 percent.

"Earlier it was noted that the number of people or travelers crossing the Cikampek Toll Road has reached the highest number. The highest compared to 2022 or 2019. It reached 163 thousand. An increase of approximately 20 percent compared to 2022," explained General Listyo Sigit.

Even though it has experienced a significant increase, the Chief of INP emphasized that with hard work and readiness to regulate traffic engineering policies that have been prepared, everything can stay under control and run well.

The National Police Chief instructed his staff to continue to guard and secure the arteries. So, on both toll roads and arteries, the implementation of homecoming flows continues to run well and is conducive.

"Then we have also checked the arterial route itself, everything is still running well. Of course, we still have to pay attention to both the toll road and the arterial route," said General Listyo Sigit.

In the future, General Listyo Sigit stated, the National Police Traffic Corps and related stakeholders will again hold evaluation meetings to determine steps related to implementing traffic engineering policies on toll roads, by existing conditions.

"Of course after this, there will be another meeting. After that, a decision will be made on whether it can return to normal or Contraflow. Based on the hourly data, this will be a joint decision," concluded General Listyo Sigit.
