General Listyo Sigit Prabowo Revealed Other Police Members Involved in TM Drug Abuse Case

In the case of Teddy Minahasa drugs abuse. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, the Chief of the Indonesian National Police, stated that a number of police personnel were also involved in drugs trafficking.

"I've previously stated that we would take serious action against everyone who involved in law violations, regardless of rank or position. It is part of our vows to cleaned up the Indonesian National Police, and I've already mentioned it several times," on Friday (10/14) said the Chief of the Indonesian National Police at the Indonesian National Police Headquarters.

The Chief of the Indonesian National Police stated that the Metro Jaya Regional Police has previously succeeded in revealing the illegal drug networks.

"Then the development showed that it involves other police members with the rank of Brigadier, and Commissioner with the position of Head of the Sector Police. In further development that leads to a dealer, we also found another personnel involved in this case with the rank of AKBP, a former Head of Bukit Tinggi Police," said General Listyo.

"From there, we deduced that TM was involved. On that premise, I requested yesterday that the Head of the Professional and Security Division to inspect Inspector General TM," stated the Chief of the Indonesian National Police.

“This morning we have decided our decision. Currently, Inspector General TM was indeed allegedly did a violation and he has been secured in a special confinement,” stated the Chief of the Indonesian National Police.

The Chief of the Indonesian National Police directs the Professional and Security Division of the Indonesian National Police to undertake an ethics trial as soon as possible, with the threat of Disrespectful Dismissal as a penalty. He also requested that the Metro Jaya Police to conduct a comprehensive investigation into this situation.

"I also contacted the Metro Jaya Police Chief about the criminal handling process. I ask whoever it is, whether civilian, police, or even Inspector General TM, that it be carefully processed and developed," stated the Indonesian National Police Chief.

"This demonstrates our determination in taking firm action against drugs abuse, and this is also acts as a warning to all members. The community are allowed to report police members who violate the laws and we will deal with them firmly," he stated.
