Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Kalimantan. The Chief of Indonesia National Police (INP) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said President Joko Widodo is trying to move the capital city from Jakarta to East Kalimantan.

General Sigit considered that the relocation of the capital city was an effort by the government to make development equitable from Java-centric to Indonesia-centric so that the impact would be felt by all Indonesian people, especially the Dayaks.

The former Banten Regional Police Chief appreciates all the Dayak people who have continued to oversee this government policy. Moreover, moving the capital city concerns the progress of the Indonesian nation and the welfare of the people throughout Borneo.

"Therefore, I ask my extended family to prepare ourselves, so that we don't become spectators in our own country. How can we become masters in our own country, in IKN (National Capital). Like it or not, we all have to prepare ourselves to improve the quality of human resources to become superior human resources," said General Sigit, Saturday (3/18/2023).

General Sigit also invited people in the land of Kalimantan to develop skills and knowledge so that later they could fill the needs of IKN whether to become bureaucrats, ASN (State Civil Apparatus), Indonesian State Police personnel and TNI (Indonesian National Army).

"I will continue to encourage all colleagues to prepare themselves so that our current and future generations can be the hosts in their own country," concluded General Sigit.
