Metro Jaya Police Chief and Regional Military Commander of Jayakarta Praised the Demonstrations that Went Peacefully

tribratanews.polri.go.id - Several demonstrators held a rally in protesting against the increase in fuel price at Horse Statue, Central Jakarta. The Metro Jaya Police Chief, Inspector General Fadil Imran and Regional Military Commander of Jayakarta, Major General Untung Budiharto stated that the situation is relatively under control.

However, Inspector General Fadil Imran admits that the situation had gone tense at some point, although they could handle the situation eventually.

“I also want to say thank you to the demonstrators whoanaged to held the rally conducively. This is a huge step for us in developing the state for the better," he said.

Major General Untung Budiharto also appreciated the demonstrators in conveying their aspirations. He stated that the demonstrations is proof of how mature the people now and hoped that in the future, the rally would also goes smoothly and conducively.

"This marks how mature our democracy is, and we have to be proud of it. We hope that the demonstrations that will be held in the future could go peacefully, for the better of Indonesia," said Military Commander of Jayakarta.
