The Police Chief and Governor of West Java Inspect the Landslide Caused by Cianjur Earthquake

Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Cianjur.  The earthquake that occurred in Cianjur not only damaged houses and caused dozens of people lost their lives, the 5.6 magnitude earthquake also caused a landslide which cut off access to the Cipanas-Cianjur road to Puncak, Bogor.

The Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil with the West Java Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Suntana, then directly went to the location of the landslide in Cugenang District, Cianjur Regency, in Monday (11/21) evening.

When inspecting the location, the Governor of West Java received reports from the public regarding the presence of several vehicles buried in landslides. It was said that some of those buried vehicles are the public transport that carried kids in it.

At the landslide location, one heavy equipment have been deployed since last night for landslide evacuation purposes. While at the location, the Governor of West Java asked the joint officers who had been deployed to quickly assist the evacuation process.

"We ask that joint officers be able to quickly help the evacuation process," said the Governor of West Java, quoted from tribunjabar.id

Meanwhile, the message from the West Java Regional Police Chief asked his members to act fast and precise in landslide evacuations and in searching for victims.

"With the new tools. disaster handling can be done quickly, so that everything can be handled," said the West Java Regional Police Chief.
