Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Papua. The body of Irwan, a motorcycle driver who was shot by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB), has been evacuated to Mimika Regional Hospital, Police Senior Superintendent Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo said.
“Accompanied by his younger brother and uncle, the body of Irwan, also known as Iwan, was disembarked from the plane upon arrival at Aminggaru Illaga Airport,” said the Head of Public Relations of the Papua Regional Police on Friday (24/3/2023).
After disembarking from the plane, they made their way to Babussalam Mosque to offer prayers for Irwan. To ensure the safe transportation of Irwan’s body, the Mimika Sub-Regional Police patrol will provide security and escort the body to the Mimika Regional Hospital, where Irwan will be laid to rest before being transported to his hometown in Makassar.
Irwan lost his life in a tragic incident where he was shot in the Ilaga District, Puncak Regency. The perpetrator disguised themselves as passenger and requested to be taken to the Kimak Road intersection. Upon reaching the destination, the perpretator shot Irwan from behind, fatally wounding him.
