Indonesia National Polise Emphasised People Against Officers During Emergency PPKM Can Be Subject to Criminal Code Law

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia National Police stated they will give sanctions for those who are against officers during the Emergency PPKM (Community Restriction Activity) period on July 3-20, 2021.

"It is possible in the activity implementation, those who are against officers and so on can be imposed under the Criminal Code Law," Head of the Public Affairs Division of Indonesia National Police, Police Inspector General Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono explained, Friday (02/07/2021).

The Head of Public Affairs Division of Indonesia National Police said police referred to number of regional regulations (Perda) or national ragulations in taking actions.

Indonesia National Police will start Aman Nusa II Operation to secure Emergency PPKM for Java-Bali region starting at 00.00 Indonesia Western Time, Saturday (06/03).

This was stated in telegram (ST) number STR/577/VII/OPS.2./2021, signed by Chief of Indonesia National Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo on Friday (06/02).

"The implementation of centralised operation with the codename Aman Nusa II will take effect tonight at 00, meaning that July 3 [the operation] is effectively enforced," he added.

He said in the opration, police will start insulating number of points that have been prepared.

Then, he said police will also conduct random antigen swab tests in several RT (neighborhood)/RW (hamlet) that apply Emergency PPKM.

"There are insulations at the entrance and exit between cities/provinces including toll gates and also rest areas," he said.

Insulation will also be carried out in number of supporting public transportation facilities such as stations, airports and ports.

He said the action refers to the issuance of Minister of Home Affairs Instruction Number 15 Year 2021. As state apparatus, Indonesia National Police will support the policies taken to suppress the spread of Covid-19.

Indonesia National Police will deploy 21,000 personnels during the operation period. Meanwhile, Indonesia National Armed Forces will prepare 32,000 troops.
