Head of Traffic Corps of Indonesia National, Police Inspector General Istiono, explained Indonesia National Police would implement Nusa II Aman Operation to handle Covid-19 starting from July 3 to 21, 2021. It is a follow-up to the implementation of emergency community activity restrictions (PPKM) on the islands of Java and Bali.
"Indonesia National Police will hold Nusa II Aman Operation to support the handling of emergency PPKM. We have set 407 locations for insulation regarding the emergency PPKM in Java-Bali province," Head of Traffic Corps of Indonesia National Police, Inspector General Istiono explained during press conference, Friday (02/07/2021) .
"For Jakarta alone, we will build 60 points. 25 insulation points and 35 points of restriction of mobility control," he explained.
The 407 insulation points in Java and Bali are as followed:
- Banten :20 points
- Bandung: 106 points
- Jogja : 6 points
- Denpasar : 12 points
- East Java 160 points
- Central Java : 42 points.
The Two-Star General also said specifically for Jakarta, from the 60 points, 25 of them are inter-city restriction and insulation
"In Jakarta, there are restrictions between the cities of Tangerang, Bekasi and Depok. In this mobility restriction, we will build 4 points at Senayan Roundabout, Semanggi, HI Roundabout and TL Harmoni," he said.
"Meanwhile, on the toll, we build insulation at Cakung gate from Jagorawi direction, Tomang gate from Tangerang direction, Halim gate from Cikampek direction, Cikunir gate from Cikampek direction," he added.
Previously, President Jokowi has announced the emergency PPKM would be implemented in Java-Bali from July 3 to July 20, 2021.
In this policy, number of rules have been tightened, starting from the closure of shopping centers to transportation restrictions.
