The earthquake with the strength of 5.8 magnitude rocked Sukabumi, West Java. The shook was felt even to Depok and Jakarta. The Meteorology Climatology and Geophysics Agency stated that the earthquake was occured at Thursday (12/8) at 07:50 WIB.
Quoted from bmkg.go.id, the epicentre of the earthquake is 22 km southeast of Sukabumi City with a depth of 104 km. The agency officially stated that the earthquake was felt throughout IV Rancaekek, III Lembang, III Bogor, III Bandung, III Pangandaran, III Padalarang, III Pamoyanan, III Sumedang, III Cianjur, II Cisolok, II Sumur, II Sukabumi, II South Jakarta, II Garut, II Bekasi, II South Tangerang.
The agency says that the earthquake does not have any tsunami potential.
