Police Carefully Devised Plans to Secure 2022’s Christmas and New Year Eve

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Anticipating an increase in the number of people who will travel for the Christmas and New Year Eve holiday, the National Police Traffic Corps needs to take strategic and appropriate traffic management steps so that it does not cause widespread congestion. Moreover, currently there are no community restrictions on traveling.

"First, i would like to say thank you for the preparation that you had done so far. But, there are things that we still need to follow up on because it will support our smooth operation when carrying out our security activities," explained Head of the National Police Traffic Corps in the Madellu Hall of the NTMC Building, Jakarta, Thursday (12/15) .

Inspector General Firman Shantyabudi hopes that all involved parties can carried out all plans while adapting with the situations in the field, so that all Christmas and New Year Eve security plans and strategies can be implemented properly.

On the same occasion, Police Operations Assistant, Inspector General Agung Setya Imam Effendi added, his party had prepared and structured a better lilin operation plan by holding a coordination meeting with the task force and head ops to level their perceptions in carrying out this operation.

"We want to ensure a safe, comfortable, and smooth Christmas and New Year Eve. That's why, we will arrange the movement of vehicles from Jakarta to Java or vice versa through the mechanism that we have planned," explained Inspector General Agung Setya Imam Effendi.
